I love so many things about this piece. You give us such a vivid portrait of Jeff (and Jeff 2000).

My husband is 10 years older than me, the last of the Baby Boomer years, and does not appreciate my Gen X sensibilities. But we manage. We also have very different musical tastes. I love my Americana; he thinks Cake is appropriate music for an early morning alarm. (I do not like anger in my morning alarm. I’m irritated enough to be waking up and don’t need it reinforced by the choice of alarm.)

Lastly, you should create a personality assessment based on Winnie the Pooh characters. 😁

You know what, the age gap is probably worth calling out since Jeff and I have a 15 year age one and it definitely is a big reason for different tastes. Also +1 to your logic on no anger in a morning alarm.

Your suggestion on the personality test sent me down a rabbit hole (no pun intended) and apparently both Pooh as personality and Pooh as mental health issue is well-trod terrain! https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC80580/

I immediately heard the little intro when you mentioned “Delilah” and knew exactly what station it is in my area! I, too, am married to a two periods and a comma guy.

Right? She narrates a sleep story on the Calm app and hearing her voice as I doze off is so soothing…

97.1 WASH FM in DC. And for the record, I would've loved that concert. Cracked Rear View was my first CD! Maybe smuggle in some red wine so Jeff 2000 comes to the comedy show?

There's a two-drink minimum at the venue so I'm hoping that helps. I need Jeff 1500 there to bring good vibes and drive home lol
